Head Rev 85 Pro SW 184cm with Bindings

The REV 85 is an excellent all mountain option from Head's "Revolution" series. This ski has a layer of metal which stiffens up the ski for higher speeds and more aggressive skiing. We have always enjoyed skiing on Head's because they are designed to ski as precisely as race skis. The REV 85 will do exactly that and more because they have added ERA 3.0 rocker profiles for increased terrain versatility. We recommend these skis to advanced to expert skiers who like to rip groomers and mob through the trees fearlessly.

Recommended Use: All Mountain

Ability Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Rocker Type: Early Rise/Camber

Ski Dimensions: 133-86-115mm @184cm

Turn Radius: 17.5m @184cm

Construction: Sandwich

Core: Wood

Base: UHM C

Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control.
Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

ABS Sidewall: ABS provides better edge hold than other materials and construction types. It will also withstand impacts with rocks and terrain features (rails, boxes, your friend) more effectively when compared to cap style construction.

Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber: Head combines Rocker for flotation in soft snow, a progressive radius for better edge contact and grip, and shock absorption to dampen vibrations. Head is always working on making skis smarter year by year.
