The forecast says “snow” and it’s not gonna stop. When the weather gets like this and the powder gets deeper and deeper, snow performs much less like a solid and more like a liquid. With EST Powder Rocker, the Armada ARG Skis mixes the necessary requirements of a ski with the principals of hydrodynamics to produce a tool that performs better the deeper the snow gets. And to top it all off, Armada threw 1mm of side-cut and 1mm of camber underfoot to make it easier for your friends to get back to the lift, because you’ll probably only let them try it when the weather clears.

Shape
EST Powder Rocker is Armada’s most powder-specific profile. Fully rockered at the tip and tail, with 1mm of camber underfoot, it maximizes float in soft conditions for unprecedented control, while the small amount of positive camber engages the two widest points of the ski just enough to allow maneuverability on the hardpack.
This is a 5-dimension ski that has almost full reverse sidecut to float like a water ski in and out of the powder with maximum glide and maneuverability. 1mm of sidecut gives it some edge hold when not on powder.
Construction
With an AR50 side wall, the ABS sidewall meets Cap construction, combining lightweight Cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
The ARG has a 1.7 edge, with the height and width deliberately smaller and the steel heat-treated to a proprietary hardness to increase durability and decrease weight.
The 50/50 base is faster than Armada’s S7 base but more rugged than the Comp series.
The Laminate Matrix consists of three kinds of fiberglass laminates used in combination to deliver the exact amount of flex and torsional rigidity needed in the appropriate places.
A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers run along the tail of the ski to stabilize it, creating a better landing platform, increased snap and added pop.
Flex
The Hybrid UltraLight core is made up of select 375kg/m3 wood stringers that have unusually high strength-to-weight ratios so the ARG maintains a light but stable feel. ABS layers are pre-installed alongside the core directly underfoot to concentrate the weight of the ski below the boot sole to increase durability and lower swing weight.
